The various diseases have affected the modern society lifestyle. This has been as a result of consumption of products that have gone much of inorganic processing. To cope with this situation, relevant authorities have been called to action to ensure food safety consulting is carried out by the farmers so as to come up with natural farm produce.

Modern agriculture has contributed to an increase of pathogens in humans that are drug resistant. This has led to an attack on it by the medical community and as a result the general public. The recent and most severe attack was noted on the words of WHO director general. The drug resistant bacteria are passed to the consumer through a food chain.

To the moment, food has not yet attained any safe standards. However, lack of awareness to risks in unsafe food has created likelihood of much risks. The mass media has boosted the general recognition and support. The major risks are posed by the hormones, pathogens and antimicrobial as well as residues from chemicals.

New consumer demand has been satisfied by production and availing naturally products which have no hormones as well as antibiotics. This has acted as a safety measure. This however has had a negative impact on the farm products as people are losing trust on them, such products are those that have no label showing safety or high quality. There has been trade barriers set internationally on the products that are not up to standard in reference to importing country.

There has also been a rise in tendency by the consumers to demand for agricultural outputs which are fresher and naturally grown. This has resulted to rise in consumption of unprocessed or minimally processed products rather than those that have undergone many stages in processing before getting into the market. The fresher the produce is, the safer the consumer is from pathogens and contaminants coming from raw materials.

The mandatory inspection is still indispensable though it has failed to control and prevent emerging pathogens that are food borne and pose risk to human health. Looking at meat for example, in the past, diseases like brucellosis and tuberculosis caused clinical diseases which could be observed at farm levels and lesion that would be recognized during meat inspection. The modern pathogens like toxoplasma are detectable only via targeted monitoring systems as they do not show clinical symptoms.

Quality checks on control have been set to assign the quality categories to products before being set to the market place. Lack of the right ways of correcting or even upgrading of the final product, high prices are experienced on high quality products. On the other hand, the non-marketable products are cast-off. Measures on the reducing losses are brought as a result of production cost of the quality being equal.

From the above, it becomes prudent to follow up consultations of food safety in order to ensure that the health of the consumer is free from risks and also to optimize your profits by selling more natural produce.
