If you are preparing multiple lobsters, put them all into the pot at once so you can remove at the same time.

After the allotted time, check if it is cooked. Test the color of the food. Basically, a fully cooked one is deep red and uncooked one has a charcoal color. It is better to test the meat as well. A fully cooked one has a white, firm, and opaque skin while uncooked meat has a translucent appearance.

You should not overcrowd the pot. It would be much better to make them in batches especially if you want to cook lots of lobsters. Basically, cooked ones nicely with melted butter and lemon. You may also dip in white vinegar for enjoyment.
