Simple And Easy To Make Spaghetti Squash Recipes

By Christopher Lewis

Pumpkin season arrived. It's time to enjoy in these lovely vegetables all over again. There are so many varieties to choose from, but today is time for spaghetti squash recipes. Starting with the most simplest one, and continuing with more interesting and surprising recipes. So, here is the basic recipe to follow.

Find a nice squash and cut it in half. Remove the seeds. Preheat the oven on 350 F. Take a pan, place a baking sheet on, and spread a little butter on the bottom. Place the halves face down. Bake until soft, usually approximately one hour. Take a fork and scrape the flesh into nice strings. Add salt, pepper, butter and, if you like, grated hard cheese. Enjoy.

Combine these vegetable spaghetti with different sauces, meat balls or sausages, or simply make salsa and pour it over, sprinkle with herbs and grated hard cheese, and your perfectly light and nutritious meal is done. You can use them as any other pasta, and combine them with any of your favorite dishes. But, if you want something a little bit different, here are some ideas for you.

Once you scrape out your vegetable spaghetti, take a few sheets of filo paste, the same quantity of cottage cheese and a few tablespoons of sour cream, one egg and a few pieces of butter. Mix the egg with a little bit of salt, add some cheese and squash and spread the mixture over the filo sheet. Roll it and place on greased pan. Continue with this procedure until you fill the pan with rolls.

Preheat the oven on 350 degrees. Once you're done rolling pastry sheets, cover these rolls with sour cream, add a little salt on the top and bake for thirty minutes or until done. This lovely salty dessert tastes great with a glass of good wine, and if you eat it with yogurt, it might be one really nice and light meal.

When it comes to baking, you don't have to use this baking recipe, you could bake the whole squash in the oven instead. In this case, prick the surface with the knife first. If you don't have enough time, put the halves in your microwave instead, and they will be done in maybe twenty minutes or so. However you bake it, you can always use it to make something delicious and nutritive.

Anyway, you will need one pound of prepared spaghetti, 200 grams fresh spinach, 200 grams diced feta cheese, one clove minced garlic, one tablespoon olive oil, salt and pepper. If your spinach is really young and soft, use it as it is, if not, cut it into stripes. Combine olive oil with spices and garlic and mix all your ingredients together. Enjoy in your light and fulfilling salad.

Here is another simple idea for you. Make your favorite pumpkin soup, cook these spaghetti in for a few minutes. On the top, sprinkle chopped parsley leaves, as well as good quality pumpkin seed oil, this oil makes it all just irresistible. You may also add some sour cream on. In any case, you just need a few pieces of toasted bread and you can start enjoying your tasty meal.
