How To Make One Really Delicious Peanut Butter Fudge

By Michelle Young

When it comes to home-made sweets, fudge is one of those desserts everybody loves. You just cannot go wrong if you combine all favorite ingredients such as chocolate or nuts. Peanut butter fudge is probably one of the most loved of all, thanks to the fact this wonderful spread can be successfully combined with just about anything, with guaranteed results.

Some recipes might be complicated or might require more time to prepare. Here are a few of really easy recipes and ideas you may use. The trick is to use good quality ingredients, both when it comes to chocolate and when it comes to peanut butter. Simple, but really tasty desserts can be made in a few minutes.

The base for your fudge is really simple. You won't make a mistake when you use the following ratio - one small can of condensed, sweetened milk, and three cups of your favorite chocolate chips. Simply put them together in your microwave, and when everything melts up, stir and add two or three spoons of some good quality peanut butter.

You should previously prepare the pan, lining it with parchment paper, or maybe with some foil. Once you mix all ingredients together, pour them into the pan and spread. Leave it to cool for a while, and then put into the fridge for some time, until the mass is hard enough for you to cut it into the cubes, or any other shape you prefer. You may also sprinkle something on for decoration.

Using this simple but tasty base, you can design numerous extraordinary types of fudge. You may mix some crushed peanuts in, or your favorite kind of chocolate chips, or even small pieces of soft caramel, and you will get entirely different, but equally tasty desserts. If you sprinkle crushed nuts on the mixture while it is still warm, they will stick to it better.

When it comes to a combination of peanut butter and chocolate, caramel is something that will make this combination simply irresistible. Caramel is simple to prepare. Take two cups sugar and leave it in the pan over low heat until caramelized. Do not stir, just shake your pan occasionally. Once everything gets that wonderful caramel color, add one can condensed milk in and stir. When caramel is melted, it's done.

Once you make your caramel, you can simply add two cups melted chocolate in and stir until smooth. Add three large spoons peanut butter and one cup chopped peanuts in. Pour this mixture into the prepared and lined pan, place everything in the fridge and try to be patient until it hardens enough so you could cut it into small, delicious cubes.

Instead of condensed milk, you can use full cream, and add some butter in as well. In this case, you might need to add some sugar as well, because condensed milk is usually sweeter. When you use dark choco chips, they might also be less sweet, so keep it in mind when combining your ingredients. In any case, you will enjoy preparing and consuming these lovely cubes of pure pleasure.
