This chocolate truffle recipe that you are about to learn is very easy, so those who are new to the kitchen will not have troubles making them.

The ingredients you need to prepare. Six ounces chocolate, semi sweet and chopped, use white chocolate as an alternative. Two tablespoons butter, heavy cream one fourth cup, one cup chocolate or white chocolate chips semisweet, nuts and fruits finely chopped. Make sure you roast the nuts before chopping.

The estimated time on how long will you be doing this dessert is 3 hours and 40 mins. While its preparation time would take 10 mins and cook time for another 10 mins. With the ingredients provided below you can make thirty to thirty pieces. When you plan on gifting this, that would be five to seven gifts when put in parchment.

Line cookie sheet and put teaspoonfuls of mixture on it. Put it again in the refrigerator for five minutes or just until they are firm enough for shaping. Make them into ball shapes and freeze it for about 30 minutes. In another saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and the shortening in low fire until smooth.

Third, dip your chocolate balls to the chocolate you melted earlier. Already coated balls should be placed in cookie sheets. Sprinkle them with the nuts and fruits. Do the same process again and again until no more mixture is left. In order for its coating to set in, put it in again in your refrigerator. Before serving your truffles, remove it from the fridge 10 minutes ahead.

What to know. The shortening is important because this will help the coating to set, so it does not melt easily. Hence, make sure you use the right shortening. If your purpose of creating this is to present such as gift, put each truffle in some decorative cup to avoid them from bumping into one another.

To make it look for decorative, drizzle some melted vanilla chips over your truffles. To make the drizzle, microwave one fourth cup of white chips in vanilla flavor. Microwave it until your chips are smooth enough. If you do not have a pipe, put the melted chips in a resealable food plastic bag and cut the corner.
